Key Industries now a Draeger outlet

Published on 13/02/2015

Draeger Safety is a global manufacturer of personal protection and gas detection technology, and a supplier of safety systems for industry, fire prevention, mining and other hazardous areas.

“Draeger Safety is ‘the’ brand when it comes to safety,” says Key’s Frank Visser.

“This is demonstrated by the NZ Fire Service entrusting the life of its fire fighters to Draeger technology.”

The new distribution agreement is an excellent fit with Key Industries’ goal of ‘protecting people, crops and native species’, he says.

“We focus on human safety, and minimising environmental impact, through the use of high efficacy products that have been proven to work in NZ, and smart application strategies.”

Key Industries staff are well briefed in the Draeger range, and ready to help customers pick the right equipment for their requirements.

“Respirators are a good case in point,” Visser says. “These devices are designed to protect the wearer from inhaling harmful dusts, fumes, vapors, or gases. But there is a vast range available in the market, from cheaper, single use disposable masks to reusable models, half and full face masks with replaceable cartridges, escape hood, and even air powered respirators.

“It can be very confusing to chose the right one.”

A few simple questions will help clarify end user requirements, he says.

“Typical examples include: What is the application? Is the work area well ventilated, with sufficient oxygen? What tasks are to be carried out, for how long? Which substances are used? We’re more than happy to help you with these and provide appropriate recommendations.”
