Zagro subsidiary to acquire Orion

Published on 28/05/2014

Zagro is primarily engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of crop care and animal health products.

It has subsidiaries globally and the proposed acquisition of Orion Crop Protection gives Zagro a significant foothold in the NZ
market.

The completion of the first stage of the acquisition is expected around the end of May.

It is anticipated that Orion Crop Protection will continue with business as usual with local management and staffing unchanged
and Orion founders Murray Fulcher and Ian Porteous remaining as directors.

“With access to Zagro’s established portfolio of post patent products and scope beyond crop protection the planned acquisition
will strengthen Orion and provide further opportunities to accelerate the growth of the company,” says Ian Porteous.
