The New Zealand Crop Solutions App features easy to follow user guides including application rates and mixing information, rainfastness times and withholding periods for each product.

Bayer CropScience national marketing manager Grant Steyn says it’s been a huge job creating the app but he and his team are
pleased with the outcome.

“As a market leading company focused on our customers and innovation, it made absolute sense for Bayer CropScience New
Zealand to develop a great tool and embrace the innovation of mobile devices to further enhance our market leadership position.

“The NZ Crop Solutions App uses visually appealing, vibrant design and graphics to deliver clear information and benefits on
Bayer products across all crop areas including arable, vegetable, fruit and vines, and SeedGrowth.”

The app is for both iPads and android tablets, and can be downloaded quickly and easily via wifi from either the Apple Play Store, or the Google Play Store, Steyn says.

It includes labels, HazNotes and Safety Data Sheets as well as two intuitive functions.

The spray calculator that calculates the correct application and mix rates for growers to include in their spray tank; all they have to do is enter one or two numbers the app does the hard work for them.

The solution finder meantime helps growers select the right Bayer product for treating a multitude of diseases, pests and weeds that can impact crops throughout the season.
